2.4 Action Freeze function

Press the Action Freeze button.

The Action Freeze light will light up.

This function stops automatically

after approx. 52 hours.

It is possible to deactivate the

function at any time by pressing

the Action Freeze button.

The Action Freeze light will switch

off.

2.5 High temperature alarm

Temperature increase in the freezer com-

partment (for example due to an earlier

power failure or door is open) is indicated

by:

• Alarm light flashing.

• sounding of buzzer.

The buzzer can be switched off by press-

ing the Alarm reset button.

When normal conditions are restored the

Alarm light will stop flashing and the buz-

zer turn off automatically.

2.6 Door open alarm

If the door remains open for some mi-

nutes, the Alarm light will flashing and an

alarm will sound.

Press the Alarm button to switch off

the Alarm sound.

Close the door and the Alarm light will

switch off.

3. DAILY USE

3.1 Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for

freezing fresh food and storing frozen and

deep-frozen food for a long time.

To freeze small amount of fresh foods it is

not necessary to change the present set-

ting.

To freeze fresh food activate the Action

Freeze function 24 hours before placing

the food to be frozen in the freezer com-

partment.

It is possible to place the fresh food to be

frozen in all compartments except the

lowest.

The maximum amount of food that can be

frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rat-

ing plate, a label located on the inside of

the appliance.

The freezing process lasts 24 hours: dur-

ing this period do not add other food to

be frozen.

3.2 Storage of frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out

of use, before putting the products in the

compartment let the appliance run at least

2 hours.

The freezer baskets ensure that it is quick

and easy to find the food package you

want. If large quantities of food are to be

stored, remove all drawers except for the

bottom basket which needs to be in place

to provide good air circulation. On all

shelves except for the top shelf it is possi-

ble to place food that protrude 15 mm

from the door.

In the event of accidental defrost-

ing, for example due to a power

failure, if the power has been off

for longer that the value shown in

the technical characteristics chart

under "rising time", the defrosted

food must be consumed quickly

or cooked immediately and then

re-frozen (after cooling).

3.3 Thawing

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being

used, can be thawed in the refrigerator

compartment or at room temperature, de-

pending on the time available for this op-

eration.

Small pieces may even be cooked still fro-

zen, directly from the freezer: in this case,

cooking will take longer.
