MILEAGE
AREAS
The
Company
may,
at
anY
time,
change
or
modify
exchange
area
boundaries
or
radil
beyond
which
mileage
charges
apply.
Subscribers
affected
by
such
changes
may,
at
their
option,
terminate
their
con-
tracts
for
telephone
service
forthwith
upon
paying
all
charges
due
up
to
the
date
of
termination.
Where,
however,
the
subscriber
elects
to
retain
the
service,
it

furnished
onlY
in
conformity
with
the
new
conditions.

and
regulations
prescribed
in
the
Company's
tariffs.
VIOLATION
OF
COMPANY
REGULATIONS
In
the
event
of
default
on
the
part
of
the
subscriber
tn
making
payment
of
any
sum
due
the
Company.
including
connecting
companies'
c'barges.
or
in
com-
plying
with
the
rules
and
regulations
of
the
Company
which
govern
the
services
rendered,
the
Company
may,
without
notice,
suspend
the
services
which
it
furnishes
under
any
or
all
service
contracts
with
the
subscriber
without
terminating
such
service
contracts.

all
sums
due
have
been
paid
and
all
violations
have
ceased
or
been
remedied:
or
may
terminate
any
or
all
service
contracts
with
the
subscriber
either
with-
out
or
following
suspension
of
service.
Such
action
by
the
Company
shall
not
affect
the
subscriber's
liability
for
the
payment
of
all
charges
owing
to
the
Company.
EMERGENCY
SERVICE
In
exchanges
wbere
continuous
service

not

vided.
emergency
calls
may
be
placed
during
other
than
the
normal
office
hours.
but
a
charge
of
25c
per
call
may
be
made
tor
this
service.
INITIAL
CONTRACT
PERIODS
GENERAL
The
Initial
contract
period
for
all
services
and
facilities
furnished
by
the
Company
shall
be
one
month
.
except
as
stated
hereinafter
and
as
may
be
specifically
provided
in
other
sections
of
the
tariff.
PRIVATE
BRANCH
EXCHANGE
SYSTEMS
The
initial
contract
period
for
manual
cordless,
automatic
cordless
and
manual
cord
non-multiple
private
branch
exchange
sys-
tems,
excluding
trunks
and
stations,
shall
be
one
year.
The
initial
contract
period
for
manual
cord
multiple
and
automatic
cord
non-multiple
and
multiple
private
branch
exchange
sys-
tems
other
than
hotel
systems,
excluding
trunks
and
stations,
shall
be
from
three
to
five
years
at
the
discretion
of
the
Company.
\Vhen
additional
switchboard
positions
are
installed
in
connection
with
multiple
private
branch
exchanges
or
when
additional
equip-
ment.
such
as
switches,
switch
frames
or
power
apparatus,
which
entail
large
instal-
lation
costs,
are
installed
in
connection
with
a,utomatic
private
branch
exchange
system
such
additional
equipment
is
installed
subject
to
an
initial
contract
period
of
from
three
to
five
years.
The
initial
contract
period
for
hotel
private
branch
exchange
systems
shall
be
det~rmined
by
the
Company
in
each
case.

SERVICE
The
initial
contract
period
for
directory

wiring

the
subscriber's

the
Company,
shall
remain
the
property
of
the
Company.
The
agents
and
employees
of
the
Company
shall
have
the
right
to
enter
the
subscnber's
premises
at
any
reasonable
hour
for
the
purpose
of
installing,
inspecting,
repairing
or
remov-
ing
such
equipment
and
wiring,
or
for
the
purpose
of
making
collections
from
coin-boxes.
Such
equip-
ment
shall
not
be
used
for
performing
any
part
of
the
work
of
transmitting,
delivering
or
collecting
any
telephone
message
where
anY toll
or
consideration
has
been
or
is
to
be
paid
to
any
party
other
than
the
Company,
without
the
written
consent
of
the
CompanY.
USE
OF
SUBSCRIBER
SERVICE
Subscriber
telephone
service.
as
distinguished
from
public,
semi-public
and
hotel
telephone
service.
shall
be
furnished
only
for
communications
as
follows:
In
the
case
of
business
service,
by
the
subscriber.
the
agents
and
representatives
of
the
subscriber
and
permanent
guests
or
tenants
residing
in
a
club
or
lodging
house.
In
the
case
ot
residence
service.
by
the
sub-
scriber
and
members
of
his
domestic
establish-
ment.
The
use
of
the
service
mav,
\\'ith
the
Company's
permission,
be
e.·tended
to
joint
users
and
to
persons
temporarily
subleasing
the
subscriber's
residential
premises.
At
locations
where,

accordance
with
the
Com-
pany's
definitions
of
business
and
residence

business
rates
should
apply

residence
rates
are
being
charged.

terminate

breach

use
the
telephone

OF
PARTY-LINE
SERVICE
The
Company
may
limit
r.onversations
on
party
lines
to
five
minutes
when
longer
conversations
inter-
fere
with
the
use
of
the
sen·tce
by
other
subscribers
on
the
same

of
party-line
en•ke
that
the
sub-
scriber
shall
not
keep
the
receiver
remo\•ed
from

instrument
when
another
